Eric Vryn is a freelance photojournalist based in Central Texas, covering the Austin–San Antonio corridor and surrounding communities.

He photographs public life—politics, civic demonstrations, and the institutions that shape everyday life—with a disciplined approach shaped by prior military service and years working inside government and nonprofits.

Texas is a focal point for national politics and policy, where rapid economic growth, infrastructure and development, energy and environmental pressures, border enforcement and immigration, and economic change play out publicly and at scale. He photographs how those issues show up on the ground—in communities, at public events, and in the day-to-day lives of Texans.

He approaches people-first storytelling with attention to context, dignity, and consent when photographing vulnerable subjects.

He is FAA Part 107 certified. He holds a B.A. in political science from the University of Texas at San Antonio and is a member of the National Press Photographers Association (NPPA) and the Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ).

Central Texas-based (SA–Austin). Available for assignment nationwide and internationally.
